Dear Brothers,

As I leave the position of President of our wonderful Order, I look back with pride on all we have accomplished.  Over the last year, your board has worked tirelessly to provide leadership to our Division.  Thank you to all the members of the Board for your service.

To the Incoming Board I offer my thanks for stepping up to lead our great Division.  Best of luck to Billy Coffey, our Worthy President, and to all the other new and returning members of the Board.

Please note that we will install our Incoming Board at the December meeting, and it will be a public installation with our Ladies, family members and others invited.  We will conduct an abbreviated Division meeting and then open the doors for the installation.  Our Christmas Party will immediately follow the meeting and installation.  It will be a cash bar with everyone’s first drink on the Division, and light refreshments and entertainment will be provided. We have invited our Ladies AOH 5 to attend along with u...

Dear Brothers,

Our County Board and Divisions held the Annual County Mass and Breakfast October 28 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.  Although turnout was low, all in attendance had a good time.  Thanks to Recording Secretary Anderson for serving as a reader at the Mass, and to Bobby Burns and Charlie Bohan who attended and represented our Division.

Dues for 2019

Please note that 2019 dues are now in order.  The Division must pay its assessments to the National, State and County by February 1 in order to be in good standing and take advantage of some early payer discounts.  Therefore, we need to collect the dues this year to ensure we have sufficient funds to remit the dues early in 2019.  Waiting till January to pay your dues may require the Division to wait till past February, costing us additional money and leaving less to operate the Division, make charitable contributions, etc.

Please note as reported in our last meeting, the JDJ Board has notified the...

Dear Brothers,
I had the honor of attending the AOH national convention in Louisville Kentucky this past July; I would like to thank the Division and Tommy Flynn for their donations in help covering the cost of the convention and hotel. It truly was a privilege to represent, Joseph Duelk, Jr., Division 1, and Orange County New York at the AOH National Convention.

To be around such great Hibernians, who represented their divisions, states and our national board was truly a great experience, the kindness and welcoming arms of embrace from all I met even though this was my first time representing this division was amazing. There were courtesy rooms on every floor run by different states. As I entered these rooms I could see people who have been friends for years shaking hands, asking each other about their children, family, friends and organizations.

Every room I entered I was greeted with a smile, a hand shake and thanks for representing our division and travelling to the convention. It...

On Memorial Day, on our Division members accompanied our fellow brothers from all of Orange County AOH Divisions in an early morning sunrise tour of the grave sites in Orange County where we honored and remembered our fallen military personal.

The Executive Board would like to thank our Brothers Anderson, DeBold, Edmonds, Walsh and Gertzkis who helped the LAOH setting up, cooking and cleaning up at our LAOH Jr.’s Mother’s Day brunch. The kitchen was used for the first time since its renovation and it passed with great complements. A certificate has been hung in the kitchen thanking all that worked on the renovation.
